How to upgrade OS

Hi all,

I'm using OS X Mountain Lion.

This is my Mac spec:

Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Processor 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5

I've upgraded to High Sierra before, but downgraded again because High Sierra is not compatible with some of my important apps. Could anyone please advise how to upgrade to Yosemite or El Capitan? My reason for update is that Chrome or Apple no longer provides updates for this Mountain Lion version. Thanks.

Best,

Log into the Mac App Store with an Apple ID previously used to download them, click on the Purchases tab, and redownload them. If you don't have access to one, go to a physical Apple Store and ask for Yosemite, or go to a configuration which can't be upgraded to High Sierra and get El Capitan.
