Samsung TV doesn't wake after Mac sleeps

Since updating MacOS to 10.13.2 my MacMini doesn't wake up the Samsung TV after its in sleep mode and I wake it back up. I can tell the Mac is awake as the white light goes from flashing to solid. I am required to turn the TV off and turn back on to make it work. Changing the source won't help, must be turned off and back on to get the display of the Mac back. The MacMini is connected to the TV via HDMI.

Samsung TV is LCD 2016 model - no issues using this TV with other devices like PS3, ChromeCast or Win10 tablet devices.

Mac mini, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)
