Adobe PDF printer

You mean in Quark? Yes, of course. But without the Adobe PDF driver you cannot set the parameters to make the .ps file as they are greyed out. I have the Adobe PDF 9.0 app in the Library/Printers folder but cannot see it when I click on + to add a printer in the Settings app.

Thanks, but tried that already. My printer has given me new specs for creating PDFs straight from Quark so that solves my immediate problem, even though the files are twice as big! Thank you for your help.

Hi. Yes I think you’re right, there is some ‘ghost’ element allowing it to work on my old Mac. I’m using Quark 2016. I have new PDF creation specs to use now in Quark that seem to work so I’ll go with that option instead! Thanks.

Unfortunately you can’t find the app to download anymore as it is old. Tried resetting the printing system but no change... Just don’t understand why it shows on one Mac and not the other.

New iMac had Office 2015 on it but apart from that all software has been copied from old iMac. New iMac came with El Capitan but I upgrade to Sierra to match old one. No antivirus software running.
