Adobe PDF printer

I’ve been using Adobe PDF 9.0 printer to create Postscript files in Quark XPress for some time without issue. I have just got a new iMac and am transferring my files over. For some reason my new iMac cannot see the Adobe PDF 9.0 printer icon in the Printer settings pane. Without this Quark reverts to a Generic printer driver which means you cannot enter specific settings. I am running Sierra on both the old and new machine so cannot see what has changed! Any ideas? Thanks.

May not show anything, but on the computer where it isn't working, try running this program in your normal user account, then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. You can run the report for free at least once, but if you run it several times, at some point it will ask you to pay a license fee.

The Adobe PDF 9 printer driver should have stopped working with Snow Leopard 10.6 and Acrobat 9.1.3, as the security of Mac OS X prohibited certain workings of such a printer driver. (Perhaps on the old Mac, QXP found a way to access just enough details from the description files for its own PDF generating purposes?)

Please also disclose the XPress version in use, as various versions may have changes in the print/export PDF functionality.
