GB over-compensating for latency

My garageband is over-compensating for latency.

When I record live from my midi keystation it records the notes as consistently before the beats*

- Before anyone asks it's not my playing! The first note of the bar is recorded as before I started recording, and therefore doesn't sound on playback.

Where is the setting for this? - Found nothing in help.

*In case anyone is interested it's pulling them forward by 1/16 note, about 0.18s at the speed I was just playing

I wondered if it's something to do with the quantising but that is supposed to be non-destructive - ie the notes should be in the right place on the piano roll,.

Any thoughts appreciated!
