How to stop "Files"-app from accessing files on Mac

Hi!

On my iPhone 8 I have the "files"-app. This app is great, but I want to stop the sharing between the Mac and iPhone temporarily. How can I do so? If I delete the app, I can just download it again and the files are there. Can I do something on the Mac-side of it?

Thanks.

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
