IMAC "Permission Denied"

after a bad electrical shutdown my operating system does not start.

When I try to restore or use the disk utility I have the following error.

"the solution could not be completed, permission denied"

Any idea for this problem? thank u.

Access Denied Symbol Sometimes On Boot Hi I'm getting access denied symbol when booting my mac. The error doesn't appear very time i turn on my mac. Does anyone had the same issue, any suggestion to fix it without reinstalling the os?

Hi Mike, thank u for the information, but when I try to use the disk's utilities a got the same message "Permission Denied"
