Mailbox won't refresh on Desktop Mail app

I have four different email accounts active in my 2011 iMac Mail app. Since downloading High Sierra (10.13.3) one of these accounts will sometimes not download. I have to manually disable and then re-enable the account and then it starts updating again, but this keeps happening. The other accounts in the mail app seem to be operating fine and this particular mail account refreshes fine on my phone, though sometimes when I read (or even delete) an email on my desktop it will remain unread on my phone. Should I just uninstall and then reinstall this mail account from my desktop mail app?
