How to get voice memo to play in my BeatX earbuds?

I am calling Applecare right now; but, here's my question:

When I have my BeatX earbuds on, and connected to my iPhone, the voice memo playback still plays over the phone speaker!

What can I do to make it work through my earbuds?

iMac (27-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8), iTunes Libraries

I can only listen to my recordings through the phone’s internal speakers, even though I’m connected to Bluetooth headphones which were working just fine right before I hit the playback button on the app. I see this has been an ongoing issue since at least 2014. Play Voice Memo NOT on Speakerphone? When I play back a Voice Memo, it blares it out of my the loud lower speaker on my phone, instead of playing in my ear like a phone call. I don't really want the whole room listening to the playback of my Voice Memos. How can I get them to play back into the phone's ear piece instead of on Speaker phone?

Apple SE and Oticon hearing aids I've successfully used Oticon hearing aids with my Apple Se for a couple of years. My question is regarding playing audio from the phone from a video or other source. Is there a way to switch output from hearing aids to the speaker? I can do it while on a phone call, there is an option, but I haven't found a way other than shutting off the hearing aids. Any suggestions appreciated.
