can't send mail from outbox in mail app.

we are using a iPhone se. Sometime emails sent form Mail go to the outbox and then can't be sent from there. One email just won't load at all and just keeps trying to load. system is 11.2.6. Messages sent from Mailboxes sometimes go to outbox. Any ideas? We are not great computer "Wizzes". anyone think we should call Support?
