Using a Wifi repeater with a Time Capsule network

Can I use a ASUS wifi repeater to extend Time Capsule wifi network? I set up the device per the instructions and my MacBook and iPhone can see the "repeated" network but when I try to connect to that "repeated" network I get an incorrect password error message. Should I just quit using the Time capsule networks and use the Xfinity provided router?

Time Capsule won't extend WIFI I have been using a Fios router and have upgraded it to a newer Fios router. My Time Capsule will not connect to the new WiFi network. I have even reset configurations and set up will not allow me to "Add to an existing network." When I try on my computer, it reverts back to the "Create a new Network" screen. In AirPort Utility's most recent update accompanying the Big Sur install by selecting Extend a wireless wireless network from the dropdown Network Mode menu, the Wireless Network Name dropdown menu fails to detect any/all networks well within range of the AirPort Time Capsule. Furthermore, if I manually enter the name of the network I wish to extend, the utility fails to recognize it. Is this a glitch in the AirPort Utility software since Big Sur, or is there something additional I need to do to accomplish Extend a wireless network?
