Dell UP3214Q with MacOS High Sierra

Hardware: Dell UP3214Q monitor connected to a MacPro mid 2010, 2 x 2.4 GHz Quad Core, with a Nvidia QUADRO K5000 4 GB. The mac is running system 10.13.3 and is connected by on of the display ports in the graphic card.

Issue: The picture in the monitor is split at the middle, with the left side a bit darker than the right side. Before I was using the same hardware configuration, with a former version of the OS, and there was no issue. I find the same monitor splitting when I connect this monitor to a MacBook Pro, 15-inch, early 2013, that is also running OS 10.13.3, but only if I'm using the Mini DisplayPort. When I connect the MacBook using the HDMI port, the picture looks perfect.

I already did a reset of the monitor, by disconnecting it and by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Well, I have to agree with you! I deeply regret the upgrading of three computers with HighSierra. One of them needs now an incredible time to startup, and it introduced some other problems with a few applications. But I am dealing with them. However, in this case I believe that there isn't a problem with the system, but with a firmware that was needed before the system upgrade. I say this, because after the firmware update I started the computer again (I am speaking about the Mac Pro) with an older system, from a second drive (I am not sure which version it was, as I don't have it any more), and the monitor was also split. I used this previous system for, at least, three years, and I never saw such thing. So, it seems that there is some incompatibility between the monitor and the firmware that these macs (both the Mac Pro and the Macbook Pro) are using. I am also asking Dell if they have any clue to solve the issue, but till the moment they didn't answer. I am also worried with a second possibility, that is that the same issue can persist if I get a new mac! This would mean that I wouldn't be able to use this monitor any more!
