iPhone 6

I have an iPhone 6 and do not get sound alerts with my Fox News app. I see others with newer model iPhones have the same problem with their Fox News app, so don't tell me I need a new iPhone. I've gone into all my settings. All are setup correctly. All other apps send sound alerts. It's just the Fox News app that doesn't. Is Apple trying to censor us? Not a good business practice Apple. You're not the only game in town anymore. Recently I had a different issue with my phone and called Apple Care. They were totally useless.

(IPhone 6s) I know how to turn the notification off. I think Apple has went a bit overboard with their choice of alert sound. Can produce panic in situations where attention is needed like new driver in heavy traffic situations (especially if it's the first time when you hear that horrible sound and you don't know what is going on). To be honest I thought Apple solutions were smarter than this ... but I can be wrong.

app developer to update their app I have an app that I need to be able to "Hear" when I get an alert. the notification and sound toggles are switched to on. whenever I receive an alert, it comes in the form of a banner on my homepage. I have to be able to hear the alert when I am asleep or if my phone is in my case. my friend has this exact same app on her android and it has a sound alert. why can't my iPhone have this feature? I need the app developer to update the app to allow for this sound alert. can someone help me with this issue?

Not getting sound alerts on iPhone SE 2nd Gen I have an iPhone SE 2nd Gen with the latest iOS updates. I don't get sounds alerts for my calendar events or text messages. I had been getting them, they stopped awhile back. I have Do Not Disturb off Sounds are on for both calendar and messages. The volume is also up. I had Focus set so it wouldn't sound while I'm asleep, but have turned it off. I have fooled around with the settings, but haven't been able to figure it out. Thanks for any advice you may have.
