my computer crashed. I downloaded the latest itunes to my laptop on Windows 10.
When I connect my ipod classic to try & play my music or delete some of the old songs everything is greyed out.
I have tried loading drivers but nothing changed.
My ipod works on the car stereo so it appears the problem lies with itunes.
Can anyone help?

See Recover media from an iPod. Make sure that you have a local copy of all of your content. The content may be greyed out if iTunes thinks it is supposed to be synced automatically, in which case you would be able to play it directly from the library rather than the device.
