I dropped my iPhone 6s in a sink filled with water, but it's perfectly fine?

I dropped my iPhone 6s in a sink filled with water, but it seems perfectly fine. I grabbed it out right away, so it was only submerged for about 5 seconds. I dried it off, and the excess water dripped out from the speaker, headphone jack, and charger slot. The speakers work, it can hold a charge, and the headphone jack works with my earbuds. I'm just wondering if there are any precautions I should take to avoid water damage problems with my iPhone in the future?

There is a popular tale of using rice as a drying agent, absorbing most of the moisture. Not sure how effective it is on enclosures such as phones.

Mobile phones (any brand) often have a strip inside that reacts to water, as a security measure, so repair staff can detect any water damage. Might be important for insurance purposes, AppleCare or other.

Keep an eye on battery life. Water damaged batteries can speed up the power drain, even if they seem fine at first.

There's not much you can do other than try not to do that again. If liquid got inside the phone, the process of corrosion has already begun. There's nothing much you can do to stop it.
