I accidentally (yesterday) deleted an iMessage thread that goes back to April 2017. I haven’t backed up my phone in about 1.5 weeks.
I do not use iCloud to back up, only my MacBook Pro.
Is there a way to retrieve the conversation?
I’m going to hold off on backing up the phone as I fear if I do, I’ll lose conversation, as iTunes will overwrite my last backup of 1.5 weeks ago.
Any help, greatly appreciated
You can back up to iTunes again if needed, but you should first archive any existing iTunes backups so that you can have multiple points in time to go back to.
Doing this will prevent overwriting previous backups.
