Crackling imported song on iTunes

Hi I seem to have an issue where the first or sometimes the second imported track from my CD crackle when played through iTunes. i.e. the ripped tracked is crackling. Unfortunately this then occurs on my phone, iPod etc. as iTunes Match seems to take my crackling track and replicate it! I can play the CD perfectly on my mac, CD player, car and I've tied importing it in all sorts of types of format Apple losses, MP3, AAC, they all do the same.

It there a setting to turn off to fix this?

itunes match incorrect song On an album that I had on CD and ripped to itunes, the entire album is identified as Matched in icloud status. However, tracks 5 and 6 of the album both play the song that is track 5 (I have the CD and they are entirely different). In fact, when track 6 is not downloaded onto my PC, track 5 is 3:32 while track 6 is 3:20, but when I download track 6, the track length for track 6 changes to 3:32 (i.e. it matches track 5). The names of each track are different. I have tried deleting the songs in itunes and redownloading them, but the same thing happens. I am not sure what to do. Any ideas?Thanks,Jeff

iTunes match corrupts songs I use iTunes match on my Apple TV (gen3 & gen4) and my iphone. The last 2 songs of The Eagles "Hell Freezes Over" - Life in the Fast Lane and Desperado are corrupted. (the first 4:30 of LitFL is OK, then the rest & all of Desperado are corrupted) Same behavior on all my devices. Album was originally ripped & uploaded, but the downloads should be Apple master copies. How does this get resolved?

I have great 2- and 3-second tracks that I worked hard on getting the exact timing right before the next tracks. Why did iTunes add seconds when I ripped my playlist to a CD and how do I stop that?
