Want watch & phone to both ring

I keep missing calls I would like my phone & watch to ring when get a call or messages together. I'm on my 3rd watch and had it working at one time but not sure how I did it.

iPhone and apple watch Now that I have an Apple Watch (series 7) and my iPhone 13 pro, my phone doesn’t ring when someone calls, or give sound notifications of texts or messages. Also, the watch only “rings” or shows I’m getting a phone call about half the time. I’m missing most all of my calls and texts/FB messages. Is there anything I can do to fix this? So I can get both devices to give notifications and rings when I get an incoming call.

Apple Watch Series 7 - Receiving Cellular Calls How do I get calls on my series 7 Apple watch when I don't have my iPhone with me? When I go running I leave my phone at home, but whenever someone calls, it goes through to my iPhone and nothing is received on my watch. Then when I get home I get the missed call notifications and/or messages. Are there additional settings I need to activate? Or do I need to use the separate telephone number that is assigned to my watch?
