Superdrive problems

recently i am having problems uploading cds to iTunes using a usb superdrive. it won't upload the last one or two tracks , it ejects part way through on numerous cds

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), macOS Sierra (10.12)

USB Superdrive does not copy across all Music tracks on CD to iTunes On a number of occasions when I insert a music CD in the superdrive it copies across just over half of the tracks on the CD to iTunes (or misses out the last few on the disk). A message pops up "error occurred while converting the file 'title of the CD'. The required disc cannot be found." (I am quite sure that the problem is not the CDs as they are new Music CDs that have not previously been played - straight out of their packets - and were bought from reputable music stores. As it has happened with a number of different CDs, it surely can't be the CDs. Strangely, for other CDs, the superdrive copies across all of tracks no problem to iTunes. The software on my iMac is up to date. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks in advance. John

Superdrive imports way too fast. Hi, Is there any way to slow down the import speed on the superdrive. It'll play a CD just fine without skipping. When I import the exact same CD into Music, it skips like it's scratched up. There are no fingerprints, scratches, or marks of any kind on my CDs. It's doing this with all my CDs. My theory is that the Superdrive is importing the CDs way too fast. It's shaking my desk when it imports. I've done all that I know to try and slow it down. I've turned on error correction, didn't slow it. I've opened the CD in finder and made a copy of the CD without the Music program. Can someone please help me? Thanks, Tina

Apple Superdrive & iMac USB SuperDrive won't add or play all CD tracks to iTunes anymore, it stops and ejects after several successful tracks. Tried in all ports, same issue. Cleaned with old CD player laser lens cleaner disc, no change in performance. Chatted with support, was told to take it to an Apple store. Took it to an Apple store and they want me to set an appointment to take in the entire iMac system. Told them nothing's wrong with the system can you please just take a look at this? Nope. Set an appointment. Any ideas?
