iTunes hangs after notifying of expired rentals

I had two rentals expire and when I start iTunes now, it presents me with two dialogs; one for each notifying me that each has expired. After I click OK on the second another dialog pops up that is flickering like crazy, but is mostly blank. I cannot get this to dismiss, and thus cannot get any further into iTunes. Any suggestions on how to bypass this? Thanks.

null-OTHER, Windows 10, product is iTunes
