file call webkit.resources blocks iTunes install

Hi, I have tried everything to install or update my iTunes, but every thing I do I keep getting an error 'file WebKit.resources is not a short name'. What can I do. I can not even delete iTunes because of the same error message.

thanks

Frank

Hello fjcunninghamjr,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that you are getting the error message that 'file WebKit.resources is not a short name'. I would recommend taking a look at the following support article and remove and reinstall iTunes. Note that the media you purchased from the iTunes Store or imported from CDs are saved in the My Music folder by default and if they are still there, won't be deleted.

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

Best regards.
