Question: IOS Exchange Account Error / Outlook App Works OK


IOS :11.6.2

Phone : Iphone 7 Plus

Recently the inbuilt apple mail app has been playing up on a few handsets, "Supported" attachement fail to open and just sit there saying downloading. However the recent issue is that the inbuilt mail app just sits there saying download, or "Exchange Account Error" with no detail.

Outlook App is also installed on the handset with the same account and works great, however some people have become institutionalized to the inbuilt app 😀

Tried Hard reset, removing and re-adding the account , works for around 5-10 mins and then stops updating again.

Any ideas?


iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.3.2

I understand from your post that the Exchange email is timing out and stops updating after a few minutes. The following article has steps which may help resolve this type of issue:
