Mac Book Pro Flickering Screen and cursor issues

As I am typing this - my 15 inch - retina screen 2016 MacBook Pro (Mac OS High Sierra)- the screen flickers every 30 seconds or so and then my cursor has to be reset from to where I am typing-. Every-where you see this hyphen is a time when-the screen flickered/flashed and I had to replace the cursor - to continue typing. This happens across the computer- Safari, Mes-sages, etc.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Try an NVRAM reset:

If that doesn't help then there is probably a problem with the display and you should take it in for service.
