Question: "Cannot Open" error message when saving Quicktime Recording

I did about 10 recordings and successfully recorded and saved them all except for one. For whatever reason, one of the recordings keeps giving me a "cannot open" message when I try to save it.

The recording is about 45 minutes long, and I was able to start/stop the recording, but when I try to save or export it, it will begin saving with a progress bar, and upon completion, I get the error message "Cannot Open" although it's already open and I'm able to watch and listen to all 45 minutes of the recording.

I was also able to find the temporary unsaved recording in my computer but still cannot save it. How do I save this like I did with the other videos?

I also have more than enough space on my drive to save it. Also tried saving it on an external hard drive but to no avail.

macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), null

I figured it out! I got the temporary file and copied it to an external hard drive.

1. Search in the magnifying glass in the top right /Users/austin2/Library/Containers/com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX/Data/Library/Autos ave Information/Unsaved QuickTime Player Document.qtpxcomposition

2. Drag that file into a new folder (or external hard drive)

3. Voilà! It should save!

Note the "austin2" part of this would be your username.
