How to make a slideshow with my own music

I’d like to set up a looping series of photos and synchronize my own music to them. What’s the best way to do that, using Photos, Pages, Keynote, or some other app? I'm using a MacBook Air, 11 inch early 2015, and OS 10.13.3.

Thanks,

Rich

In Photos you can create a slideshow from selected photos and videos, then add a soundtrack - you can select songs from your iTunes library.

Create and work with slideshows in Photos on Mac - Apple Support

But you cannot trim the songs in Photos to make them align perfectly. If you want that, create the slideshow in iMovie; it makes it easier to arrange the sound clips.

I am using GarageBand to add a soundtrack to videos http://help.apple.com/garageband/mac/10.0/#gbnd1a894e6e.

Now I can play the video in QuickTime Player and loop it.
