Album Split Into Individual Albums Per Track (From Same Album)

This only happens for some albums, and I have yet to notice any pattern as to why some are added fine and others incur this issue. For the albums that this issue does happen to...I add an album to my iPhone (manually managed through iTunes). The album is hidden until I also add an album artist to the info for the tracks. After adding an album artist, the album appears, but every single song from it gets listed as its own album. The album title is, of course, identical for each one, but they're all listed separately. If I choose "compilation" for the songs, they disappear again. If I remove the album artist, they disappear again. Thus, the album is only available with each song from it split into its own album. Why oh WHY does this happen? It's a frustrating, annoying, and unexplainable problem. I have this problem way more than I don't. Only a select few albums that I've added to my phone appear properly. Please help me troubleshoot it.

I've tried restoring the iPhone to factory settings already. The iPhone is not jailbroken. This happens on the stock Music app as well as 3rd party ones like Vox. The album does show up on iTunes when browsing the phone. It happens regardless of whether the music is in MP3 or AAC, etc.

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 11.2.6

I understand that despite your best efforts, many songs from the same album are showing up in their own album. I'm happy to provide some help for this issue.

From the video that you've shared, it looks like the songs are still showing as "various artists". Because of this, I recommend following the steps in the article below to make sure that the info is correct in each song:

When you're in the Albums view in iTunes on a Mac or PC, songs from the same album might not be grouped together. You can organize songs manually so that they're grouped in the same album.

By default, iTunes organizes albums based on the name of the album's artist. Some songs from the same album might not be grouped together if their album names differ slightly, if the album is a compilation, or songs from the album have different artists. To group all of the songs in the same album, organize them manually.

If you're a member of Apple Music or subscribe to iTunes Match, any organizational changes you make will update across all of your devices. If you sync your content with iTunes, the changes will update on your devices the next time that you sync.

Assign songs a primary album artist name

If albums have songs by multiple album artists, iTunes might list the songs in separate albums. To assign a primary artist name for an album that includes songs by several artists, follow these steps:

Select all of the songs that should have the same album artist.

From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Edit > Get Info.
If the message "Are you sure you want to edit information for multiple items?" appears, click Edit Items.

In the box next to "album artist," type the album artist that you want all of the songs to have.
To note the original album artist for a song, you can type it in the "comments" field. To view the "comments" field, select a song and choose Edit > Get Info.

Click OK.

Thanks for the helpful response, but that's not the solution in this case. I did show a V/A compilation in my video but this issue is happening regardless of whether it's a compilation or not. It pretty much happens randomly and the songs only show up when an album artist is entered.
