Where does Mac OS X store folder association information

I am having a strange problem on MAC OS X.

Whenever I open a folder from LaunchBar like Download or from the terminal using open . it opens my DVD player! Hover I do not have any DVD drive The only solution what I found is to uninstall DVD player. So I can open my folders normally.

Would you know some of you where Mac stores FOLDER association (it is not file association)?

File / Folder Names Disappearing I'm on a new 2021 16" MacBook Pro running MacOS Monterey. I'm having an issue that is more annoying than it is problematic. If I have a folder open, with files and/or subfolders inside, several of the named folders and files disappear. If I right click on the folder or file, the name returns but only momentarily. I'm not loosing files; everything is where it ought to be. It's only that right clicking on numerous folders to get to the folder that I want is, as I said, just annoying.

Duplicate Applications Folder Folks,Today I noticed that I have a duplicate Applications folder on my Macintosh HD directory. Not sure why. I made sure that all the applications/programs were identical to the "normal" and required Applications folder in User/Username/ and then, based on some posted advice in this forum "just trash it".Except of course the OS tells me that“Applications” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by macOS.How can I get rid of this accidentally duplicated Applications folder? Some individual progs/apps can be removed via Trash, not so the programs that came with the OS.I'd like to get rid of it. If you know how let me know please.Cheers!

iMac OS Mojave System Preferences -missing "Files and Folders' in Privacy tab I am running Mojave on my iMAc. This week I upgraded to Catalina but following a catalog corruption issue with Lightroom Classic (an external hard drive not recognised) I restored via a Tie Machine backup back to Mojave. I was advised on a Lightroom forum to check in Mac/System Preferences/ Privacy to see what was authorised in "Files and Folders". BUT in this panel I see only ......Accessibility, Full Disk Access, Automation.... - see screenshot attached. Is this an issue? How to correct?
