phone disabled can't fix

my boyfriend was trying to play a joke on me so he decided to disabled my new iPhone 8. well now it says "connect to iTunes" when I connected my phone using a usb to my MacBook, iTunes said "cannot connect value is missing" and I don't know where to go from here or how to fix the problem?
