I am doing this many times. Now I don't see photos when I click "iphone" on device from photo library. Normally I see photos when I click iphone on device. Then import all photos but this time. NONE! I could not figure out how. I try to change settings like from optimize iphone storage to download and keep orginials. None. Please help me. Thanks

Which system version is running on your iPhone? And which system version is running on the Mac? Have you launched iTunes with the iPhone connected, so the iPhone will prompt you, if you want to trust the computer? Is the iPhone fully charged and unlocked?
As you have iCloud Photo Library enabled on the iPhone, try to view the photos you want to download enlarged, before you are connecting the iPhone. The iPhone needs to download them from iCloud before you can see them in Photos.
You probably have iCloud Photo Library enabled on your Phone - if you do you can not manually import - either use ICPL on both devices or do not use it on your Phone
