Can I allocate more space in iCloud for Documents and Desktop

I am an IT student, and like most people who do developing work, they save their work on desktop. Lots of important pdf, and documents are on desktop, or documents folder. I don't store pictures, videos to iCloud. I only need most of the space for documents, books, and codes/ apps that I write to be back up, so that I can use them at school's Mac stations or at home with my Macbook.

And I run into a problem. It seems that I can only have 5 gb of iCloud storage for Desktop and Documents. Is there anyway that I can allocate more for that ? I sign up for 200 Gb iCloud subscription

I don't see anything in iCloud documentation about allocating drive usage or restrictions on storage space. You last sentence seemed truncated. Do you have 200GB now?
