iTunes Purchases Won't Hide / Auto Un-Hiding

This morning every movie, song, and TV show I've ever purchased on iTunes and HIDDEN have shown back up. And whenever I try to hide them again, they vanish for a moment then come right back. I don't want all this old stuff that I have no interest in using cluttering up my iTunes and Apple TV, and it's getting downright infuriating. It just started this morning for no reason at all and it's driving me crazy. Does anyone know why this is happening or what I can do about it? All my software is up to date as of 5 minutes before posting.

As noted you're not alone. This is happening for me too. It does appear to be something out of our control that will need to be fixed in the iTunes Store. Use Feedback - iTunes - Apple to let Apple know that you are affected so that they can get a sense of the scale of the issue.

There have been a number of posts about it today, there appears to be a bug on Apple's end that they need to fix

This issue appears to have been fixed. I still had to delete a bunch of cloud items that ought to have been hidden, but this time they didn't come back. 🙂
