Where can I get started on developing a plugin for Logic Pro X?

I am looking to develop a plugin for Logic Pro X. From my understanding, I will be using an AudioUnit format. I'm hoping someone can share a few resources on where I can really get a grasp on the topic as there doesn't seem to be many available.
