Question: Mobile App Files in iTunes Media Folder

I have a MacBook Pro running iOS with a 250gig solid state drive. I have been getting memory warnings. While looking to consolidate and clear stored files. I discovered that a large amount of memory(21+gig) is being consumed by Mobile app files (ipa) stored under iTunes Media/Mobile apps.

How can I remove these? They appear to be apps I no longer use and versions of updates for them.

What affect will it have?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 11.2.6

1. Delete them or put them on an external drive as you would any other file.

2. If you move them, nothing. If you delete them and they’re no longer available in the iTunes Store, you won’t be able to put them onto your iOS devices.
