I have a new car and would love to find out if there is any new information on adding navigation apps to Apple Car Play, especially Waze. I find the Apple Maps app to be far inferior. Has anyone heard anything? Especially since apps are available for the I phone it would be great if they could find a way to make it available.

Apple wants you to use Apple maps, I agree with you google maps is a better app. I bought a cheap andriod phone and 15 $ /month sim card service plan. You can also connect the andriod phone to you iphone hotspot for the internet connectivity.
Not very likely since it used to be available but has been kicked since OS10, I believe.
I very much prefer google maps, as well - but Apple has been catching up rather well since they are using TomTom live data (which is what I need most: live data).
That's false. No navigation app other than Apple Maps has ever been available in CarPlay.
Any information on using Waze or Google Maps with Apple Car Play?
