iMovie 10008 Error

So I am putting together a little project that is under 2 minutes long on imovie. But when I try to export it I get the error code of 10008. I have read other article and discussions posts that say edit out the black points in the movie and it will export correctly. But when I try to cut out the black parts on my film it will just move positions. So instead of being cropped out of the film it will be moved to the transition "cross fade" I put in. I restarted my computer to see if that was the issue and that didn't solve and I also duplicated the work to see if that would help and it didn't.

You didn't mention, but I am assuming that you are using some version of iMovie 10.

When a frame is deleted it should not move to somewhere else in the project. What steps are you doing to cut out the frame? Try isolating the corrupt frame and a few frames before and after, and then deleting all the frames.

Since you have discovered black frames in your project it appears that there is corruption there that probably is causing the sharing out error. Removing the corrupt frames, like you are trying to do, would likely be the cure. There are other things that can cause the error as well. In case you still have the issue after removing the black frames, here's a link to a thread that discusses some of the other causes and some other fixes that have worked:
