Question: Apple Pay Not Connecting


I have a 2013 Macbook Pro Retina and an iPhone X. I have used Apple Pay successfully until this month. Now, when I attempt to make a purchase on my Macbook, I get an error message that my iPhone cannot be located to complete the purchase. My iPhone is literally in my hand. Both devices are connected to the same WiFi and both have Bluetooth enabled. I have clicked the appropriate permissions to use Apple Pay on my Macbook (preferences --> privacy) and my iPhone (settings --> wallet).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this? Thank you in advance!
