How do I charge My MacBook Pro that just died and won’t re charge again

basically, my Macbook pro just died and it won’t charge again. I have made sure that the port and all that is clean, the SMC reset didnt wor. the orange light came on then went off again and now its not charging at all. I know my lead works because I have tried it on another device but I need help because I NEED my laptop for some Extra revision for a test on Monday, any help would be appreciated ASAP

If I understand, the computer isn't actually charging, even after you tried to reset the SMC and verified the cable was working with another device. I rely on my own Mac every day so I know how important it is for the computer to charge; I'm happy to help!

Taking a look at macOS Sierra: If your battery won’t charge , we can see that resetting the SMC was the exact right thing to try. Since that didn't work, though, the next step would be to take your MacBook Pro into an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for inspection and service. Once a Genius or Apple-ceritifed technician has had a chance to check over the computer, they can let you know what's going on and how to get it fixed.
