Question: Back up hard drive full error?

How can I back up my 1TB imac to a 2 TB time capsule without getting a hard drive full error message?

That depends....If the 2 TB time capsule is full, that is why you are getting the error. Just because it's 2TB doesn't mean that it still has that much space available. Double check that there is open space that is enough for what your looking to backup. If there isn't enough space, you'll have to clear out space on the drive for the backup, and if you want to keep everything that you have on that backup drive, then you'll have to get something that does have enough space to do the backup.

I get this notice "Backup Failed" There isn't enough space on "Marvin's AirPort Capsule". My internal HD is half Full and it's only 1 TB, the Time Capsule is 2 TB. Is there a recommended way to set up the Time Capsule to prevent this?User uploaded file
