Blue bar appears when unlocking iPhone

Hey all, I’ve got a question for the forum...hopefully you can help!

When unlocking my iPhone 6s (running iOS 11.2.6), a blue bar briefly appears at the top of my screen. I’m wondering why this is happening and whether or not I should be concerned about an intrusion on my iPhone.

Things I’ve tried to get rid of it:

Turning off location services entirely

Result: no change

Checking for a software update

Result: up to date

Turning off specific location services

Result: no change

I know Apple does a phenomenal job with security, but there have been several recent viruses tailored towards Apple devices. Any thoughts as to why this bar might be appearing? It appears when the phone is opened via Touch ID and any time an app notification is selected from the lock screen as if I was about to open the phone. Attached is an image of the blue bar. Again, it appears even if location services are turned off.

Thanks in advance!

There is nothing nefarious going on. You are using Personal Hotspot!
