Guest accounts and wireless isolation

HomePod will work best with your other equipment when each device can pass messages to others on your local wired and wireless network. If your router or wireless access point has multiple radio channels for guest support then don't configure your own devices to access these additional networks, leave those free for your guests but make sure that your own devices have full access to the network by disabling wireless client isolation features on the channel they use.

If you need to maintain wireless isolation, or you want to allow guest access to your HomePod without sharing your Wi-Fi password see the Change AirPlay Settings section of Change settings for HomePod - Apple Support and configure for Everyone. Use Require Passcode if you want to avoid being surprised by strangers who are in range of your device.
