VERIFICATION FAILED

I logged out of my apple ID on my personal iphone 7 and it wouldn't let me sign in and now the verification message is coming up saying there was a problem connecting to the server.


I changed the password on my other phone, still not working. I turned my phone on and off, still not working.


I have no idea what else to do 😟

In my case I had the exact same error. I had signed out of my iPad mini 2 a few weeks ago and when I tried to sign in today with my son's ID (I am giving it to him) I got this error. I saw the post about changing networks and I remembered I had blocked the iPad mini 2 in my router settings so it would not be able to go to the Internet at this time; it is only allowed to connect certain times. I lifted the restriction via my router settings and it connected on the next attempt.


I think if you get this, something is preventing you from getting to the Apple servers, because if you do make it, I think you would get something more specific (e.g. ID/password incorrect, etc.).


So in short, make sure you have a good internet connection (if it is too slow it could time out).

Drishtisk, I am having the EXACT same issues on my iPhone 6s. This happened on February 28th and I started calling Apple on March 1st. Despite over 7 months of endless hours on the phone with Apple Support for a problem that was escalated to the highest level engineers and trying every conceivable backup, restore, reset, wipe clean, etc., and downloading profiles, generating crash logs, sending numerous screenshots, and on and on and on, they cannot figure it out so far. I was actually told "your phone is special". (Are you kidding me?) This problem is all over the internet. On this message thread alone there are hundreds of "I have this question too" responses. Apple needs to solve this problem ASAP. If you figure out the answer (or anyone else) with or without Apple, PLEASE let us all know what it is. There are probably thousands of us (especially me!) who would be extremely and eternally grateful! Thank you so much!

I've had this problem since I restored my iPhone 6s and had a new battery installed. I'm logged in fine on my iPad and Mac, in fact my iPhone shows me as logged in but I keep getting a message to sign in. I've tried signing in while in different places so different networks but it doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas besides trying a different network?

I'm having the same issue on my iPhone 6S. Logged in successfully on my PC and iPad without any problems. I'm able to log into Game Centre as well, but not the Apple ID. Lost my contacts in the process.

I've tried everything, including resetting my settings, changing password on my PC (and re-logging in), resetting networks, logging into different networks, switching to data. I've tried EVERYTHING! But the pop-ups keep coming every 10-20 seconds and now it's just frustrating. It's been this way for over 48 hours. Please advise if there's a solution. Much appreciated!
