Problem installing HP DeskJet 2130 Series Printer
Hi everybody,
So a friend of mine gave me this HP DeskJet 2130 All-in-one Series printer. I have a CD to install its software but my macbook air doesn't accept CDs. So I went to the HP support website and downloaded their software. When I install the printer there is a step that says "Print test page". However, the printer doesn't even flinch. It seems there is a glitch somewhere I still haven't found.
When I downloaded the software for the installation of the printer at the HP support site I chose the version for macOS 10.13. However, if I click on the apple icon on the upper left corner and check "About this Mac" it says my OS is the OS High Sierra 10.13. So, are these OS the same or are they're two completely different things? Does this mean I should have never installed the High Sierra OS from the beggining?
I think there might be a difference between the two OS's and that's why I think I can't print anything with the HP software I downloaded, because it's made for OS 10.13 and mine is OS High Sierra 10.13?? I think this is why when I try to print a test page, the printer doesn't even flinch. Am I on the right track here?
You guys, please help me, I'd really like to get this printer working with my macbook. So, summing up, what do you recommend I do?
Thanks for you help,
Francisco.
