Safe to put screen protector over liquid armor coat?

I'm considering putting a temper glass screen protector over my iPad Pro because the Liquid Armor coat I had installed when I first got it a few months ago is horrible and doesn't prevent scratches.

My question is will putting a screen protector with the liquid armor still on it affect the iPad Pro in terms of touch screen functionality and Apple Pencil functionality?

Is the iPad Pro’s screen scratch resistant? (5th gen) I tried looking for the answer for this question but I didn’t see anything for the newer versions of the ipad. Mini 5 with glass screen protector and Apple Pencil? Will a tempered glass screen protector degrade the performance of Apple Pencil. I’m due to receive the new iPad Mini 5 and I’ve always slapped a screen protector on every phone and iPad right out of the box. BTW, how robust is the screen these days?
