Buy iPhone X between Los Angeles and Grand Canyon

Hi, i‘m plannig a trip from LA to Grand Canyon and then to Las Vegas by car.

On this route i‘m planning to buy an iPhone X in an Apple Store on my way.

The question is, where is the sales tax rate on this rout the lowest. Where can i buy the iPhone the cheapest?

Thank you for your help.

Apple Store El Paseo ViIllage in Palm Desert. 7.75% sales tax. California's base tax rate is 7.25%. There wouldn't be any Apple Stores along the route in Arizona. They're all near Phoenix or Tucson. There are a bunch of ways to get to the Grand Canyon, but going through the Coachella Valley is about the same time and the area around Palm Springs is pretty nice.

Each of these states require a state sales tax on purchases. They may also charge sale tax by county & city as well. You can find all of these on the Internet simply by searching on: <enter state name> sales tax

To avoid sales tax in the U.S., you need to purchase your iPhone in a state that does not collect sales tax, like Montana. However, these states may require that they collect other state's sales tax for certain high priced items ... like cars.
