How to preserve the dimensions of a square shape when it is linked to the size of text

Hi, I am back again with another question about linking shapes to title text.

I have linked a size parameter of a square (geometry-size) to the size of the title text.

I note that when the title text changes size, lines or font etc, the square looses it's 4 even sides.

I know that I can use the offset parameters in the link panel to restore the even sides.

However, I want to ask if there is any way for the square to keep four even sides without using the offset.

I have a feeling this might involving linking the offset parameters to something else.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), macOS Sierra (10.12), 8gig ram, amd R9 M390, core 1%

this thing develops to a 1-on-1 training 😝

If you want two parameters linked, you need two Link behaves…

This works perfectly. Thank you Karsten.

My project has 3 title lines -on top of each other. So I need to work out how to preserve it in that situation too. Now I know how to make sure the square is preserved for the length so I will investigate how to do the same for the height. I won't ask you how to do that, I'll work to figure it out. I think i take enough of your time for today,

Thanks again so much 🙂
