High Sierra Stuck at Boot

Folks,

We are slowly moving to High Sierra (10.13.3) and in doing so, we had a second incident where a MacBook Air (Mid 2012) we tried to upgrade got stuck at the Apple Logo with the progress bar at 100% while booting.

So when we booted into Verbose mode, to see if maybe we could pinpoint the problem, we noticed it to be stuck at the same place:

IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState

Both laptops. So now were a bit concerned. Anyone else seeing this? or know whats going on? How to fix without having to whack everything?!?!

Check "System Preferences/ Users& Groups/ Login Items". I had one login item called iTunes Helper, I removed it and now boot finishes normally. I don't know if it will work for you, but it solved my boot issue.

We tried Safe Mode. Progress bar goes half way under the Apple logo and there is stays. Doesn't move anywhere after that. Useless! And we let it sit for a good while too i might add.
