Solo not working Logic Pro X

Hi, I'm working in Logic Pro X v 10.3.2 OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.

I am having two problems with solo that seem related.

1. My instruments are grouped. When I click solo on my drum group, (and now other groups, but not all of them) it includes other groups, and/or tracks outside of the drum group, however the included groups/tracks solo buttons flash, but are not lit yellow.

2. When I bounce regions in place or a track in place and create the bip, upon soloing the bip other tracks are also soloed the same as 1. where the solo button flashes but is not lit.

I have tried option click in track header and channel strip and that has not helped.

The only thing that I can think of that started this behavior was I accidentally shift highlighted several tracks and was also clicking solo, however repeating this has not undone it.
