Resetting security questions from Ukraine
I have been going nuts for a while now trying to reset my security questions in the AppleID account, and the Apple support has been deliberately obtuse and indifferent to my case, so here I am, seeking help from fellow users.
I reside in Ukraine, and there is no Apple support team available here. So I wrote to support on the web and was given a Russian support number (a foreign number for an opportunity to listen to elevator music while on hold! Heloooo, Apple! Any logic here) as the only suggested course of action.
I would imagine that a security code sent to the phone number associated with the account would be enough, but apparently there is some other reasoning at work that I am not aware of. I do have an active password at hand, but when I log in, I am asked two security questions (from what I can tell the answers are case sensiteve (Sic!)), but I can confidently answer only one of them due to spelling variations possible when transliterating from Ukrainian. Obviously, in this situation I am poised for failure.
Please, please, someone give me a straightforward instruction on how to resolve my issue.
Thank you.
Alex.
