Notes not syncing with Mac

I have recently bought a new MacBook Pro with the newest Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.3 since my previous one died.

All works fine except Notes synchronisation from iCloud. Notes are displayed on iCloud web and on my iPhone 6s but they just don't load in Notes on Mac no matter what. I tried logging out from iCloud, restarting etc. Nothing works.

Anyone else having the same problem? Are there any other solutions?
