Why can’t I use FaceTime Live photos?

I’ve tried taking pictures with the FaceTime Live Photos buttonn, but it doesn’t work. It’s not grayed out, I’ve checked my settings, and my phone is updated. I still can’t take pictures. Can anyone help me please? i’d really like to use this.

FaceTime When talking on FaceTime I am unable to take love photos. Meaning I click the button, however, the photos do not appear in my photos. I am on IOS 13.3.1 and I have the FaceTime Live Photo’s setting turned on. Even when I turn the setting off to take still photos they don’t show up in my photos. A similar problem happened in December but it was sporadic. It would work or not work without me changing anything. Now it just won’t work and was wondering if anyone has any solutions.

Facetime live photos wont save for me but when my S.O. takes them they work fine for her I have turned off and on FaceTime, restarted my phone, and even did a full reset into the latest iOS but still won’t save Live Photo’s
