Is the joystick Saitek X52 compatible with OS X

This question was asked before and the answer has changed - AFAIK the answer is NO - I have a 27" iMac running High Sierra version 10.13.3 and the joystick is unusable.

So I am looking for options for X-Plane 11

Anyone have a recommendation? The Saitek site does not list any OS X compatibility.

For the record, I tried to move this post to the iMac thread and was told I don't have permission - sorry gang, I would delete if that was an option and repost.
